Steal the Jugg from the Corners

Team A’s goal is to protect the juggs placed in the corners of the field.
Team B’s goal varies depending on their role:

  • If you’re a Pompfer, your task is to sweep the jugg into the square.
  • If you’re a runner, you must grab the jugg with your hands and carry it toward the center of the field (or even out of the field, depending on how the drill is set up).

All of this without dying in the attempt.

Playing Field

  • Draw a large square, roughly 15-20 steps per side.
  • Place a jugg in each of the square’s 4 corners.
  • On each side of the square, place a cone 4-5 steps from the corner, marking the space Team A is allowed to move within.

Team Formation

Team A

  • Made up of 4 players, one per side of the square.
  • Each player can move along their respective side, i.e., between the two cones on their line.

Team B

  • Made up of 2 players, who can be:
    • Two Pompfers,
    • Two runners, or
    • One Pompfer and one runner.
  • They start positioned at the center of the square.

Mechanics and Rules

  • Team B will try to secure a jugg:
    • Pompfers can engage a Team A player to take them down (5 stones), clearing the way to a corner.
    • Runners must dash in quickly, grab the jugg, and return to the center or exit the field with it.
  • If a Team B player dies while trying to grab a jugg, they must return to the center of the field and start over.

Variants and Tips

  • You can play against the clock — for example, seeing how many juggs Team B can recover in 3 minutes.
  • Or run turn-based rounds, swapping roles between teams.
  • This drill is great for building coordination, tactical reading, and reaction speed.
