Objective:
Develop decision-making while moving, high-speed changes of direction, body control during sharp stops, and the ability to find gaps in a defensive line. The advanced variant also builds selective combat and game reading with sticks.
Rules:
- Divide the field (approx. 30 x 20 meters) into 4 central lanes, spaced 1.5-2 meters apart.
- Two teams are formed:
- Team A (3 players): positioned randomly across the lanes.
- Team B (1 player): starts from the back and runs toward Team A’s line of players.
- Each Team A player positions themselves in a different lane, leaving one lane empty.
- The Team B player must identify the open lane and run toward it, changing direction if necessary to get through the gap.
- If they don’t make it in time or can’t change direction in time, they must brake sharply to avoid colliding with the defender in front of them.
Stick Variant (Advanced Level):
- Lanes are widened to 5-6 meters to allow for weapon interaction.
- Team A holds its positions, but only the players in the two lanes closest to the gap are allowed to attack.
- One of those two must decide whether to attack the moving opponent, while the other only attacks if their teammate goes down or if Player B manages to get through.
- If the Team B player doesn’t reach the gap or doesn’t change direction in time, they must face the defender in the lane where they ended up.
Benefits:
- Improves game-reading speed and reaction to active defensive situations.
- Develops changes of direction, braking, and acceleration.
- Increases tactical awareness and spatial occupation.
- Encourages offensive decision-making under pressure.
- In the stick variant, reinforces defensive teamwork and controlled in-line combat.
